Welcoming Coctail at Swissotel. We meet and greet at Swissotel, the venue for conference plenary session. Also called as "Tallinn Twin Tower", Swissotel offers faboulous views over the Tallinn and sets the pace for upcoming days.

Walk through New Tallinn. You might have heard about the Old Tallinn, a medieval centre of the city but you might not have heard about the New Tallinn. Walk to the Welcoming Reception venue will take you on tour around the newest and most modern part of Tallinn.

Welcoming reception. Welcoming reception takes place in Architecture Museum. This is an historic salt warehouse with lots to see outside and in.

Tarmo Luisk Exhibition "Games With Fire". It just happens that Tarmo Luisk, greatest Estonian lights designer opens his new exhibition in the very same place we have our welcoming reception at. As a result we get a truly lightning experience as a desert. Event is a part of Innovation Festival.

Exhibition of French Design: ’’Saint-Etienne Design: Creative City for All’’Cities today are confronted by numerous challenges. Starting from globalization, ending with competitiveness and relative attraction. They must adopt different strategies to ensure their development, and design plays an active role in it. Towns are also sought after for their particular character and identity, for the quality of their urban landscapes and cultural effervescence.

Within this context, Saint-Etienne invented the new driving forces to its development relying on the creativity of a pioneer territory and using an exceptional tool: the Cité du design. 

In the exhibition a visitor can have a look to city’s 5 dimensions: UNESCO design city, green & sustainable, designlaboratory, creation & innovation, design & health.

Opening of Estonian Innovation Exhibition. Did you know that spy camera used in James Bond movies, the Minox, was invented in Estonia? And Skype too! Alongside with wine and snacks we will be introduced to the coolest Estonian innovations throughout the century. Please note that occasion does not include dinner. Event is a part of Innovation Festival.

Walk in Old Tallinn. After plenary session we'll have a walk in Old Tallinn, the legendary city centre and well known tourist attraction. September is just right for it - smooth weather and not too crowded. And why not to visit some of the finest Estonian restaurants for dinner?

Gala Dinner At Teacher's House. Tallinn Old Town accommodates a very special building - Teacher's House. It is located right next to Town Hall at Town Hall Square. This is the venue for Gala Dinner of the Nordic-Baltic Conference of IB-Schools. Nice food, company and music in a historical atmosphere.

Design Night. This night in Tallinn is dedicated to design: old and new, traditional and contemporary, commercial and artistic... You will literally stumble upon great design where ever you walk in Tallinn that night.

Field trip to Tartu (optional, for extra cost). Like our students we too can have a field trip. The destination is the second biggest city in Estonia and the home for one of the oldest universities in the region. In Tartu we will be met by education professionals, great schools and sights!
